"It's Been Awhile" is the lead single off the album Break the Cycle by the alternative rock band Staind in 2001. The song is probably the band's most well-known song, becoming a Top 40 Hit (#5) on the Billboard Hot 100. The song spent a second-best 20 weeks at #1 on the Mainstream Rock Chart and a then record of 16 weeks on the Modern Rock Chart.
