"Wannabe" is the first single from the Spice Girls' first album, Spice. Released in 1996/1997, the single peaked at number one in the UK becoming the group's first number one single; it also peaked at number one in the USA and more than thirty other countries. The song is considered to be the Spice Girls' signature song.
