"Butterfly" is the second single from American singer Mariah Carey's seventh album, Butterfly (1997). Combining elements of pop and gospel, the song was nominated for the 1998 Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, which it lost to Sarah McLachlan's "Building a Mystery".
