"Promise" is the official first single from Ciara's second studio album, Ciara: The Evolution (2006). The song premiered on AOL Music on September 22, 2006 and debuted on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles at twenty-four. After two weeks on the chart, the song debuted at #45 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and eventually ranked #68 on the Top Hot 100 Hits of 2007.
