"This Is How a Heart Breaks" is the second single from Matchbox Twenty frontman Rob Thomas' solo debut album, Something To Be. Released in 2005 the single peaked at #52 in the USA becoming Thomas's 3rd Top Hot 100 entry. This song was also used during the 2005 NBA Finals by ABC television.
