"Yellow" was the second single from Coldplay's debut album Parachutes (2000) and their first Top 10 hit on the UK Singles Chart. According to lead singer Chris Martin, his inspiration for the song's title came from the Yellow Pages. During the 2002 Grammy Awards, the song was nominated for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
