Christmas is vile. I know that's not particularly merry but I've just dragged my sorry arse home from a day of last minute shopping (with the hangover from hell, no less) and all I want to do is set fire to nearest Christmas tree and tell small children that Santa doesn't exist. Wading through a sea of disgruntled shoppers and pissed off shop assistants in the search of the perfect gift is bad enough but the accompanying soundtrack of poorly sung Christmas carols is a cruel and unusual punishment indeed. Thankfully, I have found the perfect antidote for my pain in the form of a lost 80s dance classic by a legendary porn star!
Ginger Lynn Allen was the queen of 80s porn, appearing in almost 100 films. Like Traci Lords, Ginger moved into mainstream acting after retiring from adult movies and starred in cinematic masterpieces like "Dr Alien" (starring the delightful Judy Landers) and "Bound & Gagged: A Love Story". However, I wasn't aware until very recently that Ginger briefly pursued a music career at the height of her porn fame in the mid-80s. Ginger's one and only flop, "Fantasy World", is a sleazy gem that deserved to be a worldwide smash. The song is a trash lover's wet dream, complete with a filthy lyrics and fabulous 80s production.
