"Earth Song" is the third single from Michael Jackson's HIStory album. The song was written and composed by Jackson and was the first that overtly dealt with the issue of the environment and animal welfare. It topped the UK Singles Chart for six weeks over Christmas 1995 and sold a million copies, making it Jackson's most successful single in the UK.
