The Campest Clips Ever

I love Central Station. When they're not flogging Melissa's latest flop or one of Dannii's seemingly endless batch of "fan releases", they're unveiling classy DVD compilations like "The Campest Clips Ever". The title really says it all. This stunning offering compiles 28 tragifabulous video clips from the likes of Sheena Easton, Grace Jones, Nicki French and Bananarama - as well as appearances by all the usual suspects. My beloved Melissa even has a section all to herself! If that's not enticing enough, "The Campest Clips Ever" is hosted by fabulous drag identities Candy Box and Maxi Shield. The latter should at least add some glamour and style to the proceedings! On a slightly different note, I believe this is the first time Dannii's "Touch Me Like That" has been available on DVD (UK CD Single aside) making this a must for Minogue fans. Here's the tracklisting:

    Camp Women
Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Deborah Harry - I Want That Man
Sheena Easton - Giving Up, Giving In
Dannii Minogue - Touch Me Like That
Sophie Ellis Bextor - Murder On The Dancefloor

    Camp Men
Culture Club - Do You Really Want To Hurt Me
Adam Rickett - I Breathe Again
    Bearforce 1 - Bearforce 1
Wham - Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go

    Camp History
Gloria Gaynor - I Will Survive
Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Relax
Hairspray - You Can't Stop The Beat
The Source Ft. Candi Staton - You Got The Love

    Glamorous Life
    Melissa Tkautz - Glamorous Life

    Camp Entertainers
Alyson Moyet & Dawn French - Whispering Your Name
Grace Jones - Pull Up To The Bumper
    Aqua - Barbie Girl
Vengaboys - We Like To Party
    Cascada - Everytime We Touch

    Camp Covers
Nicki French - Total Eclipse Of The Heart
    Slinkee Minx - Summer Rain
    Divided - Easy Lover
Groove Generation Ft. Leo Sayer - You Make Me Feel Like Dancing

    Camp Groups
    B-52's - Love Shack
Bronski Beat - Small Town Boy
    Divinyls - I Touch Myself
    Yazoo - Only You
Bananarama - Move In My Direction (Moto Blanco)

While there are some glaring omissions, it's hard to argue with any of the choices and I'm told this is only the first of several volumes. The DVD is released on the 5th of July and looks like an absolute must have. In the meantime, check out Central Station's stunning online promotion (below). It's basically a semi-naked guy dancing to Nicki French. Only Dannii's label could come up with a blockbuster like this!
