"Remember Me" was the planned first single off the re-release of T.I.'s double platinum album, Paper Trail. The re-release was eventually shelved, and the song would was released digitally. It features Mary J. Blige and is about T.I.'s jail sentence and how he wants people to remember him as he is not going to be gone forever.
