"I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)" is the first single from Whitney Houston's second studio album Whitney, released in May 1987. The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 within a month of its release. Houston won the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and also the American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Single in 1998.
