"Life Is a Highway" is a song originally written and performed by Canadian Tom Cochrane from his 1991 album Mad Mad World. The song was Cochrane's most famous song, peaking at number six on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1992. American country band Rascal Flatts famously covered the song for the Disney/Pixar animated film Cars soundtrack in 2006.
